Root Interiors transformed this boardroom into a modern yet culturally rich space, honoring the Mowachaht and Muchalaht peoples. Inspired by their deep connections to the forest and sea, the design integrates natural materials, symbolic contrasts, and timeless finishes. Layered lighting and acoustic sensitive elements enhance both functionality and ambiance, balancing the formality needed for dignitaries with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thoughtful spatial zoning overcame geometric challenges, creating harmony and flow. This renovation seamlessly blends cultural storytelling with contemporary design, reflecting the community’s values of unity, respect, and care.
