With over 25 years of experience in the design industry, Shauna Root is the driving force behind Root Interiors. As the firm’s Owner and Principal Designer, she has dedicated her career to shaping spaces that are not only visually stunning but also functional, sustainable, and deeply connected to the people who use them.

Since founding Root Interiors, Shauna has specialized in commercial office and hospitality design, delivering thoughtful and efficient solutions for a wide range of projects. From boutique workspaces to large-scale corporate offices and world-class resorts, her expertise spans the full scope of interior design—from conceptual development to construction management. She is known for her ability to balance aesthetics with practicality, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of innovation, sustainability, and user experience.

Allison is a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer who believes in the transformative power of the built environment and its ability to shape human experiences. Influencing everything from mood and energy levels to overall performance good design makes an impact. Allison strives to craft interiors that are both aesthetically compelling and deeply functional.

After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Vancouver Island University in 2020, Allison quickly established herself in the industry, working on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects. Allison see’s each project as an opportunity to blend creativity with a thoughtful approach to her client needs, ensuring that every space is tailored to support their unique lifestyles or business objectives. Her holistic approach to design ensures that every project she undertakes not only meets functional and aesthetic expectations but also contributes to a healthier, more sustainable built environment.
